May 2 Sante Fe - or bust!

For a good while it looked like it was going to be bust, it took us that long to get organised and going!  And then the return trips home to gather forgotten items.....But, we made it.
It was hard to believe that we were following the original Sante Fe trail - all those pioneer stories we've read, and more recently, the Abernathy Boys traveled this road.  It seems kind of ridiculous that we were right there where they were - Lachlan.
We are standing between the oldest house in America and the oldest chur ch - I guess that makes this the oldest street in America?

Downtown Sante Fe - we loved seeing all the Pueblo buildings - even McDonalds in pueblo!

We took a tour of the San Miguel Mission (oldest church).  Services are still held here regularly.  There are several  amazing artworks and artifacts made by the Indians 400 years ago.

Hey, do you like this licence plate as much as we do?  Here in the US, there are many cars without  plates or with alternative ones like this.  We still haven't figured that one out yet.  Grammy?  Chad?  Byron?
