| There are no words to describe it. No photo gives an accurate representation of this incredible scene. Poppa Dick told us, 'When all is said and done, it's just a great big hole in the ground.' True, true. But we're so glad we experienced it. |

| Bryce REALLY wanted to ride these burros along the rim or down the canyon, but it didn't work out. So, we hiked a little down the Bright Angel Trail and then went biking along the rim instead! Yes, that's the 'Brighty of the Grand Canyon' trail, for all you Marguerite Henry fans! Now we are re-reading the book - forgot to take it with us on the trip. |
